GRANTS OF THE PROGRAM "CREATE!" PROGRAM GRANTS TO SUPPORT WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS IN MANUFACTURING
Abstract
The article explores the grant opportunities of the "CREATE!" Program for women entrepreneurs in the field of production and processing. The analysis of the Program has shown that it was launched by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine with the financial support of the Western NIS Enterprise Fund, which invested USD 1,000,000 in this initiative, and is implemented by the KSE Foundation in partnership with Oschadbank. The advantages of the program were emphasized, namely: grants can only be received by women who are registered as individual entrepreneurs or who are co-owners of limited liability companies or private enterprises with a share of participation of more than 50%; who carry out economic activities in the production or processing industry; whose business is registered and located in Ukraine. It is emphasized that the Program prioritizes women entrepreneurs who export their goods abroad. It is emphasized that it is extremely important for women entrepreneurs applying for a grant to be engaged in manufacturing or processing activities. The study states that the maximum amount of financial support from the Program is USD 15,000 per business idea, and the funds can be used by grantees for: purchasing equipment or machinery for your business, their delivery and installation; purchasing software necessary for your business; training and courses to help you become better specialists in your field. A number of recommendations have been developed for women entrepreneurs on how to develop grant projects for participation in the competitive selections of the "CREATE!" program. Emphasized: The peculiarity of grant assistance from this program is that its grant should be aimed at developing and scaling women's businesses. Summarized: The program is an effective mechanism for stimulating business in Ukraine during the war; participation of women entrepreneurs in it allows them to acquire new skills and competencies necessary for business activities and to upgrade their material and technical base. It is demonstrated that the implementation of projects supported by the "CREATE!" Program has resulted in the fact that women's business in Ukraine has the prospect of developing, strengthening, and scaling up even in times of war.
