IMPACT OF STRUCTURAL TRANSFORMATIONS OF THE ECONOMY ON THE LABOR MARKET AND EMPLOYMENT
Abstract
The structural transformation that has engulfed modern socio-economic development is radically changing everything around us, changing the people themselves. One of the most global transformations are technological changes, which in their complexity and depth of influence have no analogues in the previous experience of mankind. The labor market and labor relations are particularly affected by these changes. The aim of the article is to analyze the impact of such structural transformations as digital technologies and artificial intelligence on labor markets and employment in different countries, through the prism of identifying the opportunities and threats of this process. In the process of conducting the research, the following scientific methods were used: theoretical generalization, analysis, synthesis, logical generalization of results, graphic method. The study revealed the essence of digital transformation. The positive and negative effects of the use of digital technologies on the labor market are summarized. The list of professions that grew the fastest in 2018-2022 according to the Liked in version was analyzed. The statistics on the growth of the number of jobs over the last 5 years in terms of professions were studied. The trends in the development of artificial intelligence are considered and the place of the ChatGPT chatbot in this process is determined. Forecasts regarding the impact of artificial intelligence on the labor market in the next 5 years have been analyzed. The list of professions most vulnerable to replacement by artificial intelligence is considered. Different views on the impact of artificial intelligence on the labor market in the future are compared. The impact of artificial intelligence on jobs in countries with different levels of economic development has been studied. The practical significance of the research results lies in gaining an understanding of the latest trends in the labor market in the conditions of the spread of digital technologies and artificial intelligence and the possibility of taking them into account in the practice of activity.
