Abstract

The article is devoted to the identification of global trends and challenges that determine the polarity of the influence of cultural, creative industries on the sustainable development of territories. Creative industries have significant potential to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals. They are an effective tool for achieving progress in such sustainable development goals as poverty eradication, quality education, decent work and economic growth, industrialization, innovation and infrastructure, reducing inequality, sustainable cities and settlements, and partnerships for sustainable development. At the same time, the development of cultural, creative industries carries risks, including threats to the environment, a potential increase in social inequality, which negatively affects the sustainable development of territories and, as a result, the achievement of the goals of sustainable development, such as the elimination of poverty, good health and well-being, gender equality, responsible consumption and production, combating climate change. It has been proven that the complexity of assessing the influence of creative industries on sustainable development is due to the fact that the complex of influences has a multidirectional nature, and the vector of the development of creative industries depends both on global trends and on the active participation of all interested parties in the implementation of efforts aimed at solving the problems of sustainable development. The study identified the main challenges - asymmetric shocks facing the creative industries: the consequences of the pandemic, the war in Ukraine, including the energy crisis, the slowdown in economic growth, increasing inflation, the migration crisis. Manifestations of the consequences of asymmetric shocks in the development of creative industries were considered, which made it possible to predict the impact of the development of cultural industries on the goals of sustainable development, and to determine the directions for maximizing positive and minimizing negative impacts.
