MODERN ASPECTS OF CHANGE MANAGEMENT IN ORGANIZATIONS
Abstract
The purpose of the study is to examine modern theoretical and practical aspects of change management in organizations, to analyze the evolution of approaches from classical, structured models to integrated and flexible strategies, and to substantiate recommendations for effective change implementation under conditions of digital transformation, economic instability, and an uncertain business environment, with particular focus on the needs of Ukrainian enterprises. The research is based on a systematic review and comparative analysis of classical and contemporary change management models. Methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization, and systematization were applied to identify key trends, mechanisms, and strategic approaches to change management. The study integrates conceptual analysis of digitalization, agile methodologies, HR-oriented approaches, and performance evaluation tools to ensure a comprehensive assessment of organizational transformation processes. The study reveals a clear transition from traditional linear and directive change management models to modern integrated and flexible approaches that emphasize adaptability, digital technologies, and active employee involvement. Key trends identified include digitalization, the use of Agile and Lean methodologies, integration of HR aspects, and application of KPI and Balanced Scorecard systems, as well as the incorporation of risk management and continuous monitoring practices. The results confirm that effective change management depends on the alignment of strategic, organizational, technological, and human resource components, along with proactive communication and leadership engagement. The practical significance lies in the development of applied recommendations that can be used by managers to enhance organizational adaptability, reduce transformation risks, improve employee engagement, and increase competitiveness. The proposed approaches are especially relevant for Ukrainian enterprises operating under conditions of instability, limited resources, and rapid environmental change, contributing to sustainable development, long-term resilience, and strategic agility in a dynamic global market.
